General Questions:

Q. How long will the fruit keep?
A. Most of our citrus will keep in a refrigerator or in a cool place such as in the box in the garage for two weeks or more. If the fruit has the stem and leaf attached, you can clip them off when they get dry and the fruit is still good. It is important to keep the fruit away from heating vents or exposed to extreme cold.

Q. How many pieces of fruit are in a pound?
A. That depends on the variety. In a smaller piece of fruit such as a mandarin, there is about 6 pieces of fruit in a pound. With our Navels, it will be more like 2 pieces of fruit in a pound and with lemons it will be 4 pieces of fruit in a pound. Depending on the variety, one grapefruit can weigh at least 3 pounds.

Q. Why can’t I ship to the east coast by ground shipping?
A. We are shipping a fresh piece of fruit and we do everything we can on our end to ensure that the fruit arrives fresh. If the fruit has to sit in the box that it is shipped in over a weekend somewhere, we don’t know what elements it is exposed to. There is no other way to provide the customer with the quality and taste that we expect out of our fruit.
