This unique fruit is called a Buddha’s Hand Citron or Fingered Citron. They made their debut before Halloween as Goblin Fingers and are finishing up their season as … maybe the Grinch’s fingers?? They contain no juice, but are a great addition to your home as they are so very fragrant. You can use their zest in baking, slice up and candy the fingers or they can add a new “twist” on a cocktail twist! They are sure to “stir” up conversation.

2011 ended with some weather challenges that still persist. We spent many nights in December running water along with wind machines to protect our crop from cold weather. This photo shows one of those wind machines that works hard to bring down warmer air from above. We are now busy harvesting many different varieties of citrus with many more still to come. We will continue to do our best to nurture this crop.

Introducing our new 3 pound Mini Me Mandarins® zip pouch. It's a great way to grab a little bag of sunshine. Look for them in your stores and be sure to pick up an extra one because you'll be wanting more as soon as the bag is empty. Enjoy!
